Frequently Asked Questions

The Jennings County Sheriff election is on the November general election ballot. You can vote in person at your designated polling place, or apply for an absentee ballot through the Jennings County Clerk's office. Visit indianavoters.in.gov for full voting information and to check your registration status.
You can register online at indianavoters.in.gov, by mail, or in person at the Jennings County Clerk's Office in Vernon. The registration deadline is 29 days before Election Day in Indiana.
The Jennings County Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer of the county, responsible for patrol and response in unincorporated areas, operating the county jail, serving civil process, courthouse security, and coordinating with other law enforcement agencies throughout the county.
